When we hear a calling it is our job to answer. There is a surprising ease and mighty flow when we live our purpose from who we truly are.

Being born in Siberia in still-to-be-dismantled USSR I’ve longed for a bigger world out there. The first expansions I could reach for were geographical – trips to the Siberian wilderness, hitchhiking across the country along the Trans Siberian railway, and so on. At some point, my dream for a bigger world acquired a social dimension too. So I dreamt of an international education and chose to believe (as 20+ year old can!) that absence of money, or absence of knowledge of any foreign language were entirely solvable matters in the face of the CALLING.

Fast forward, I got my degree from London School of Economics, got a headquarters job in a large multinational based in the Netherlands, and for a while had real good fun with social lifts. And then I ran out of fuel. It felt all boxes were ticked and there was nothing else to go after. Or rather, there were dozens of things to go after – building career in large-scale corporate always provides with opportunities for a stretch – but none of these were calling. For some time I tried to compensate for the lack of calling by becoming someone – a big boss, a yoga teacher, a mother. None materialised, teaching me great deal about resilience and about ‘effectiveness’ of forcing life.

And then, stuck, I faced the question of who I really am and what I’m designed to do. And that opened up an expansion within. And a possibility for a co-creation of calling between what is my inner resourcefulness and that that is beyond me.

I run a coaching and consultancy practice helping people to step into fulfilment and broaden their impact, individually and collectively, by building from who they truly are. I love this job because it speaks strongly to my values of growth, authorship, and human connection. And it calls me, as I call it!
